My wife and I saw an ad for The Torch project in an overseas property magazine and realised the obvious potential for an investment in a stunning, iconic tower such as The Torch; not to mention the attraction of the new Dubai marina project as a whole. We made contact with Dubai Select and they provided a straightforward summary of the project and the various purchase options available. Within an hour we had received e-mailed details and a price list of the apartments which were likely to be of interest. Over the following two days I made several phone calls to Dubai Select and also did my own research on the Marina in an attempt to gain an impression of how the Marina will look in two years time when most of the projects will have been completed. The sales team were well equipped to deal with every question we threw at them – and we found their approach to be prompt, up front, and straightforward at all times. After two days of fairly intensive research we were satisfied that we had found an apartment and a payment plan which would meet all our requirements and made the call to Dubai Select to reserve our little piece of this exciting tower. It couldn’t have been easier, but bearing in mind we were floating around the Maldives on a boat at the time we were very thankful that the vessel was well equipped with state of the art communications facilities which allowed us to stay in touch and complete the process quickly and efficiently. Once the reservation fee had been paid the contract documents arrived quickly and having read through the (thankfully plain English) clauses, the contracts team was on hand to deal with any queries. We had a couple of questions about issues important to us – I expect everyone does – and further information was forthcoming via the specialist contracts team. I couldn’t fault the way this process was conducted.
The first installment of the contract price was paid using MoneyCorp upon Dubai Selects’ recommendation. Currency transactions involving fairly substantial sums can be a little daunting, but MoneyCorp take the mystery out of it and will call you to flag up a good rate which can be booked for a later transaction; - it’s a great service. We soon received our Dubai Select, Platinum Member card which gives access to the members’ area of the Dubai Select website as well generous discounts on a number of travel and lifestyle product relevant to the project and visiting Dubai.
While in the UK - and linking in with a visit to Manchester to see relatives - we arranged to drop in at Dubai Select’s Wilmslow office to meet some of the team and take a look at the model of The Torch. We were received by our sales and contracts representative who were both clearly as enthusiastic as we are about this exciting tower project. It was nice to be made to feel so welcome – and the coffee was pretty good as well!
Somehow the excitement of watching the project progress is an unexpected bonus in all this, and the members’ area of the website with the construction updates and image’s goes a long way towards satisfying our needs with regards progress reports. We are also looking forward to the installation of the promised webcam at The Torch site. What a good idea!
To date I can only say good things about the buying experience with Dubai Select. I have bought and sold a number of houses in the UK in recent years and only wish that the processes had been as simple and efficiently executed as this one has been. Everyone is so attentive and cheerful, you receive the information you ask for and it’s presented in a clear and straightforward form. Regular updates are forthcoming and everything seems to be on schedule. What more could we ask for?
